Ph34r Teh Pot

OK, uh... these are pots. The first 3 I've made (ever), so go easy on me The color got kinda wrecked by this POS of a digital camera, but you get the idea.

They're all "pinch/thumb" pots, if someone really wants I'll tell how to make them, but suffice to say it's the oldest way of making pots. Going left to right, they're my first, second, and third attempts, and I think they turned out pretty good.

The first just has 5 holes in the top to make a star shape, and I'm not quite happy with the shade of green (it's too apple-ish), but, heck, it's my first one, I just decided to go with it. At least the flower type part on top came out at the colors I wanted It's stained, and then sprayed to be shiny.

Second one, I don't know where I got the idea. I like it the best tho. The two main sections are glazed, and the black is stain, and it came out just about perfect.

The third, because we had to have 4 different styles and I didn't feel like making a face, is an animal. I'll give you ONE guess what it is.


I've got quite a few more things yet to glaze and stain and fire and whatnot, these are just the first things that are TOTALLY finished. And, except for the fourth in this style, they're all bigger. Lots bigger. And took more time. LOTS more time

I must be more ambitious than the other people there, or something. I spend a LOT more time on each one. I'm behind a bit, but at least mine don't look like crap. In all seriousness, most of the other ones do. Lumpy and with no shape, and no style in them. A couple other people are good, but everyone else is there because they either FAILED it before (how do you fail a class like this???), or they just need a credit and figure this is the slacker course when compared to the other options (which it is). I'm havin fun tho
